So… Leviathan is a Reaper that defected? What the heck is going on here?

What is Bioware even DOING? At this point, I don’t care about the Reapers. They make so little sense in their machinations and plans that I can’t bother with them anymore. If this had been a “take back Omega” or a mission that focused on my squadmates I’d have been mildly interested. But this? NOPE. Also “save the scientist” plot again? Are they running out of ideas?
