mass effect 1 makes you really excited about the series
mass effect 2 makes you emotionally attached to every single character
mass effect 3 makes you cry so hard you lock yourself in your room for three days
i hate walking into life support
and seeing the mug still on the table.
She didn’t know why she kept coming back.
Perhaps she found it as a means of finding solace. Maybe she’d simply become a glutton for punishment.
All she really knew was that the only place throughout the whole of the Normandy that felt even remotely comforting carried little reminders of him.
People were dying every day and maybe it was foolish to chase a ghost when she did enough of that in her dreams.
But even with the silent hum in the now dark room and the lack of a familiar voice greeting her with “Siha”, she couldn’t keep herself away.
She couldn’t keep herself from settling down in to the seat which had once been his and fitting her fingers around an empty cup that she couldn’t bear to move, seeking the warmth that had long since gone. Trying to find little whispers of his presence to help herself through the grief.
Life support.
The room had been named well.
one fandom: the bioware fandomfor a group inhabited by sexist neckbeards prone to whining when they aren’t given a flaw-free, heterosexual gaming experience, there really was no other choice for my favorite fandom. i’ve never given so much of myself and gotten so much in return from anything else. this fandom has opened my eyes to a lot. it’s inspired me to do a lot, to do more, to branch out. and it introduced me to the love of my life via a group dedicated to a dying alien assassin covered in scales. i may not always agree with the decisions bioware makes as a company, but i will never regret buying kotor. i will never regret spending hours on the old bioware boards. i will never regret the tears i put into each game and the amount of times i’ve found myself laughing to myself, alone, in the middle of the night. i’ve created a bond to the characters, to the stories, and to the fans, and it’s one that won’t be broken.
✖ the draw was undeniable.
